Great Hair comes in many different guises, but if there’s one thing it has in common on pretty much everyone – is effortless face-framing shape. Just as a frame can enhance a painting, your hair has the power to accentuate your eyes, bring out your bone structure and elevate your look overall. And whether you have a Pixie, Bob, Middy or long hair, the same principles apply.
Which is why we created the classic Pinch technique: a five-minute hack to creating a curtain sweep of hair over your forehead and an easy ‘S’ bend at ear height that curves around your cheekbones before skimming back towards your jawline. Check out your favourite hair references on Instagram, and you’ll probably find that the ones you like most all have this face-framing shape in common.
With three products in one, effortless solution, our Air Dry Kit has everything you need to perfect the Pinch in minutes…
Apply one to two to pumps of Almost Everything Cream immediately after washing to hydrate, condition and prevent frizz forming later. Comb it through with the Everyday Essentials Brush. Avoid touching or rubbing your hair with a towel, or you’re heading for a frizzy disaster.
Use the Everyday Essentials Brush to pull the front section of hair forward. Part it in the middle and secure each side just above your ears using the dent-free Great Hair Clips, keeping the hair a little loose to create a curtain-like sweep.
Using your thumb and forefinger, pinch the two sections together where they meet in the middle on your forehead. Rub using a pincer like-movement.
Get dressed, have a coffee, do your makeup (the clips handily hold your hair off your face while you do so). Just wait at least five minutes for the shape to set in place. If you’re in a real rush, you can always add some heat from your diffuser on a low heat setting.
4. SOFTEN + FINISH
Unclip each side to reveal that face-framing ‘S’ bend. Brush your hair through gently with the Everyday Essentials Brush to soften and boost shine. You can always add a smidgen more Almost Everything Cream to hydrate dry ends or tame any flyaways before you head on out of the door.
