BACKSTAGE AT LFW SS16 WITH ORLA KIELY

Location: Florence Hall

The Look: Low Invisible Ponytail

Spot of golf anyone? #itsabirdie Orla Kiely’s summer collection started our SS16 Fashion Week journey. The mini golf set design showed a beautiful contrast to the usual straight catwalks. The models were playful on the golf course, laughing and having fun whilst showcasing next years beautiful Spring Summer Fashion. The 70s inspired collection injected an array of pastel colour and prints to our gloomy September. From mustard yellow and bright purple with floral prints to cute dungarees and floor length floaty dresses, the looks were flirty and fun - great for a game of golf. Flirty and fun was the look and flirty and fun was the hair. When it came to hair this season the ponytail took centre stage. The hair was blow dryed back and backcombed slightly at the top of the head to give the ponytail a bit of height. This was then combed over and pulled into a low invisible ponytail. Luke Hersheson said: "The 70s inspired look is very 'Stepford Wives' with the low invisible ponytail that wasn’t overly done." The carefully chosen hair band colours were just on the hairline and created a sophisticated edge. Be flirty and have fun!
