The Slip Bob Is Summer's Chicest Haircut

Say hello to the Slip Bob, this summer's coolest haircut. Inspired by the understated glamour of the late '90s, it's sleek, glossy and luxurious – see Christy Turlington and Elsa Hosk for inspo.
As fashion embraces a return to pared-back dressing, hair is following suit. Like a satin slip dress, it's simple on the surface but all about the cut: think clean lines, soft movement and a subtle flick through the ends instead of beachy texture or heavy layers.
The Slip Bob sits just on or around the shoulders, with invisible layers that remove weight without losing precision. The result is soft, fluid and effortlessly wearable – polished without feeling overstyled.
"The Slip Bob just kisses the shoulders, with invisible layers so there's no heavy line," says Dale Herne, stylist at Hershesons Fitzrovia. "It feels soft but still precise. The flick through the ends gives it something slightly sexy, while still looking luxurious and elegant. It's understated, which is exactly what makes it feel so modern."
How to style it
Prep damp hair with Almost Everything Cream for lightweight shine and smoothness, then blow-dry straight using The Great Hairdryer.

To create the signature finish, use the NEW Great Iron on just the last few centimetres of the hair, gently turning your wrist outwards as you glide through the ends. You're looking for a soft flick, not a full flip.
Finish with a light mist of hairspray or shine spray, then brush through with your fingers to keep the movement natural.
