THE BEST BRUSH FOR A SMOOTH, GLOSSY BLOW DRY

THE BEST BRUSH FOR A SMOOTH, GLOSSY BLOW DRY

So, you want smooth, glossy hair with effortless shape and movement. But you hate spending your mornings getting tangled up with your brush and your dryer, arm aching, clock ticking – only for your blow dry to fall flat an hour or two after you finally get out of the door.

To get Great Hair, you need Great Tools. But not all brushes are created equal. Which is why, when we created our Pro Blow Dry Brushes, we poured everything we know about working with hair – day in, day out – into them. The shape, the dimensions, the coated tourmaline finish which helps accelerate drying time without damaging your hair, all while smoothing, adding natural movement, minimising split ends and generally doing a lot of the hard work for you. We even made it in three sizes (M for short/bob-length hair, L for Middy/long hair and XL for very long or thick hair), so everyone can get the Great Hair they deserve.

Here’s our top 5 insider tips to using it to perfect your blow dry back home…

PICK THE BEST BLOW DRY PRODUCTS

For smooth volume and shine, never blow dry soaking wet hair. Apply one to two pumps Almost Everything Cream, then layer Zhoosh Foam over the top (this is our signature Zhoosh Sandwich technique) to both prevent frizz and build the foundations for effortless shape and movement. Be sure to apply Zhoosh to your roots at this stage if you have fine/flat hair and need some extra lift. Then rough dry your hair before you start your blow dry.

SELECT YOUR SECTIONS

Wrap medium-sized sections of hair around the barrel of your Pro Blow Dry Brush. Too small, and it can look over ‘done’ (and take ages); too large, and you may find any movement drops out after a short while.

 FOCUS ON THE FRONT

Getting Great Hair doesn’t mean it has to be perfect. We prefer our hair to look natural and effortless. So, focus on smoothing and creating shape in the front sections around your face to give the greatest overall effect.

PRACTICE THE PINCH

Pull the very front-most section of hair forward and wind it around your Pro Blow Dry Brush as your blow dry. Once dry, part it in the centre and ‘pincer’ it between your fingers to create a lovely curtain sweep of hair that frames your face. We call this the classic Pinch method.

FIND YOUR FINISHING TOUCHES

Got flyaways or a little frizz? Use a tiny smidgen of Almost Everything Cream on dry hair to smooth. If you need a little extra texture or root lift, rub some more Zhoosh Foam into your dry hair (keep rubbing until it disappears). Want to revive it later on? Brush it through with the Everyday Essentials Brush to add instant softness and shine. If you need more hold, you can’t beat L’Oréal Paris Elnett hairspray for making your smooth, bouncy blow out last longer.
