The Secret Behind Victoria Beckham’s Undone Beach Waves
For Victoria Beckham’s Australian Vogue cover a few years ago, Luke created the kind of effortless, beachy wave we all want to recreate – particularly during the summer months. The goal was an undone, natural finish for her lob that felt relaxed rather than overly styled – and, with the right products, it came together in no time.
“I started by misting her hair with Air Dry Spray because it gives you a nice bit of grit without drying the hair out,” he explains. “Then I took really random sections and bent The Great Iron through the hair, going left, right, left, right, to create soft dents so it felt like she’d spent the day by the sea.”
The result is polished yet effortless: smooth, but with plenty of movement and texture. It’s the kind of style that works just as well for the office as it does for evenings out and weekends away – and all you need is two products to recreate it.
