SHAKE UP YOUR LOOK - WITHOUT LOSING THAT LENGTH!

So, you have medium to long hair; it’s been that way for a while. You like your length – but are kind of bored. You want to ring the changes – but not too much.

“The desire to look a bit different while keeping the security blanket of your length is something we hear all the time,” says Luke Hersheson. Welcome to the solution: Curtain Bangs – one of our Great Hair trademarks. We do this style a lot.

So, let’s break the look down – bit by bit. Here’s why they’ll good on you too…

What are they?

Basically a long grown-out fringe that frames the face and gives your style maximum versatility.

What are the benefits?

The Curtain Bang adds shape to the face – but you can also hide it. So it’s the ultimate shake up that keeps your length just so.

Who does it work on?

Your length is neither long nor short, but somewhere in-between.

The A-list references…

The likes of Brigitte Bardot and Goldie Hawn rocked it back in the ‘70s. Since then, the ‘90s supermodels like Claudia Schiffer made it their own – as did Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung and Rihanna even more recently.

So how does it work?

We create chunky ends in the front section, to lend them a bit of weight. Unlike other fringes, the shortest bit falls to about mouth-height. We’re really not fans of just adding a few half-hearted short bits at the front. So a key feature of the Curtain Bang is that it’s cut all the way around the face, from ear to ear, to give it a real sense of natural, effortless flow.

How do I style it?

This look is super versatile. Sweep it to the side, wear it in the middle – you can part it or hide it behind your ears. This product is great if you want to add some definition and banish frizz.

Any final tips?

Use your hands to create tension, pulling your fringe down and forwards as you blow dry it. This will keep it smooth and swingy – so you don’t develop pesky cowlicks.

Why’s it so Great?

One of the things we believe in is that a Great Cut creates shape – so styling your hair should never take more than two minutes – and two products – each day. How do we do this? While other hairdressers just work on the ends of the hair, we create “invisible layers” throughout to being your look to life with easy movement.
