How To Recreate Keira Knightley’s Tousled Waves At Home
If you haven’t been glued to Netflix’s Black Doves in the last couple of weeks, where have you been? Keira Knightley stars in the show, which should not be missed – and Luke has been styling her hair on the press tour.
Ahead of the premiere in London, Luke styled Keira’s long bob into undone, tousled mermaid waves – with a slightly piecey finish. The perfect way to add detail to an otherwise simple cut, here he explains exactly how he created the look, which is easier than you might think.
- “I prepped Keira’s hair with Almost Everything Cream when it was wet – great for priming, moisturising and boosting shine, it’s an essential in my kit.”
- “Once I blow dried her hair, I worked Zhoosh through roots and ends to give the hair more hold.”
- “Then I went through the hair in fairly small sections, using the mermaid waver attachment from our new Multi-Tasker tool to create undone bends. I worked from the bottom, upwards. When I got to the top of her hair, I started dragging it a little away from the root to create a good finish.”
- “I finished with a spritz of Air Dry Spray to give her hair some hold.”
