How Luke Created Jeanne Cadieu’s “Facelift” Bun

When Jeanne Cadieu stepped out for The Bride premiere, her hair struck the perfect balance between strength and elegance. Created by our founder Luke, the look was unapologetically polished – a high-shine, pulled-back style that felt both modern and timeless.

“We opted for a facelift-style, pulled-back look using tons of Almost Everything Cream to create a really wet finish,” Luke explains. “I scraped the hair back into a tight ponytail that sat on the bone at the back of the head, ensuring the sides came straight back rather than dropping down – it gives the look a certain toughness.”

That placement is key for a sharp, structured feel. “I then twisted the hair into a super clean ballet bun and secured it with some pins,” he continues. “We used an ‘old lady’ hair net over the bun to ensure it stayed super sculptural and clean.”

The result is a bun that feels almost architectural – no flyaways, no softness, just pure, intentional shape.

To finish, Luke locked everything in place with a final mist: “I spritzed Air Dry Spray all over the hair to give it some hold.”

The end result? A sleek, high-gloss style that frames the face with confidence – snatched doesn’t cut it.
