NOT ALL HAIR MOUSSE IS CREATED EQUAL

NOT ALL HAIR MOUSSE IS CREATED EQUAL

Of all the various types of styling products out there, hair mousse has to be the No. 1 most feared. And I get it: old–school mousses were wet and sticky and made a mess. You slathered them, hoping for the best, only for them to leave your hair crispy and greasy. Then you’d have to wash your hair all over again.

But not all hair mousses are created equal.

We created Zhoosh Foam to give you instant root lift, body and volume – without all that mess, stress, stickiness and crunch. Here’s why it’s different to mousse – and how to use it. Try it once, and I know you’ll never look back.

1. ZHOOSH FOAM IS NOT A MOUSSE

Ok, so it looks like a mousse. But it isn’t. The revolutionary formula is made up of new “dry foam technology”. Which means that it skips the old–school sticky thickeners of traditional mousses and instead, behaves more like skincare, absorbing quickly and easily, leaving no stickiness or crunch.

2. SHAKE ZHOOSH – ALWAYS

If you don’t shake it – the pioneering dry foam technology can’t work the way you want it to. So please shake it every time. Then shake it once more for good luck.

3. ZHOOSH BUILDS IN VOLUME

On wet hair, squirt Zhoosh onto your fingers, rub them together then rake them through your hair, working from your roots to your tips. Really work it through the hair so you get an even spread of product. Then blow dry. You’ll find your hair as instant body, volume and movement. This video shows how I like to work it in, flipping the hair one way then the other.

4. ZHOOSH WORKS EVEN BETTER WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING CREAM

If you want to prevent frizz, you can apply Almost Everything Cream to wet hair before using Zhoosh in the technique above. They’ve been formulated to work in tandem to give you smooth body and movement. Check out our classic Zhoosh Sandwich technique.

5. ZHOOSH REVIVES SECOND DAY HAIR

Many people are horrified when I tell them they can apply Zhoosh to dry hair. I can see what they’re thinking: I’ll end up with a greasy–looking hair and have to wash it out immediately. But again, Zhoosh is smarter than a regular mousse! On dry hair, it behaves like a dry shampoo. Use your finger tips to rub it into your roots. And when I say rub, I mean rub. In no time at all, it will disappear and give you the instant lift you need. On dry lengths, you can also scrunch Zhoosh in to add a little movement and texture – especially if your hair is looking a bit flat and lifeless a day or two after your last wash. Again, scrunch well to see the magic!

7. ZHOOSH ABSORBS GREASE

Due to the ingredients that make it a “dry foam”, Zhoosh absorbs grease at the roots when you apply it to dry hair. So, now you can streamline your bathroom (and spending) by using Zhoosh as a volumiser and in place of a dry shampoo.

8. ZHOOSH WILL NOT WEIGH YOUR HAIR DOWN

People with fine hair are often particularly worried that styling products will weigh their hair down, adding to the appearance of flatness. Zhoosh is the No. 1 product to make fine hair look fuller. But dose and application technique are everything. Don’t let large blobs get stuck in one area. Instead, use one squirt of your hair is fine; and distribute it over the fingertips of both hands before you apply it, then really work it through. You can always add more if you need to. The point is, Zhoosh gives you an anti–gravity effect which still looks and feels beautifully smooth and glossy.

Really, it couldn’t be less like a traditional mousse if it tried.
