Dua Lipa’s cherry lengths

How to make your comeback after a social media hiatus? Dua Lipa marked the release of her new track, Houdini, with hot cherry-red hair in October. Flattering against her skin tone, the shade might just mean we’ll continue to be obsessed with red hair in 2024.

Emily Ratajkowski’s bangs

EmRata got curtain bangs this year – and they’re so good, we think they deserve a place on your haircut moodboard. Super flattering and worn with texture and movement, Emily has worn them with a French-girl aesthetic ever since.

Florence Pugh’s buzzcut

Boundary pushing and oh-so-cool, Florence Pugh nailed it this year by shaving all of her hair off. Buzz cuts are famously difficult to pull off, but she did it, experimenting with different hair colours and, eventually, different styles as her hair grew out.

Zendaya is a hairstyle chameleon, but this year saw her make the Italian bob her own. Worn with bounteous volume and lots of shine, the side-parted style became one of the year’s hottest haircuts because it got her seal of approval. Obsessed.

Just before the birth of her second baby, Rihanna got a full fringe cut in. Of course she did! While the full fringe has fallen out of mainstream favour in recent years, RiRi has given the style some excellent PR. It looked great on her.

Brit model Iris Law’s platinum blonde crop has become something of her signature – and we love how she manages to keep it versatile and cool. Shorter cuts can be difficult to style, but she is proof that you can do a lot with little length and make it look great.
