Want to stop fighting your hair – and give it a well-earned break?

Welcome to the Hershesons Academy of Great (H)air Drying. This week, @lukehersheson revealed his top air drying techniques to help you bring out your natural movement and texture – without spending every morning in a futile battle with your hair.

What are the benefits?

You get Great Hair that turns up the volume on your natural movement and texture. All with no fuss, no fuss – and no frizz.

Saves time (go ahead and sleep later tomorrow)

Gives your hair a break from heat damage (you wouldn’t like to be wound around a hot tong every day now, would you?)

✓ At the same time, you won’t be left with sopping wet shower hair - in November

Brings out your natural movement and texture

Who does it work on?

The neat thing about these air drying techniques is that they work on everyone, (except maybe curly girls, as you guys have already got this covered) – and the effect they have on the hair varies slightly from person to person. It’s literally like dialling up your hair’s individuality – in a simple, time-saving way.

The A-list references…

Liv Tyler, Imaan Hamman, Julia Roberts, Laetitia Casta, Julia Roberts, Kim Basinger, Meg Ryan, Debbie Harry, Gisele, Jennifer Lawrence, Heidi Klum…The list is endless, because getting Great Hair is all about knowing how to embrace your natural texture – and these ladies nailed it.

So, let’s get down to it.

What do you need?

Knot My Problem Brush, Almost Everything Cream and a hair dryer with a low heat setting and/or diffuser.

  • Comb soaking wet, post-shower hair through with our Knot My Problem Brush.
  • Run 1-2 pumps of Almost Everything Cream through your mid-lengths and ends.
  • Do NOT wind your hair into a towel. All that humidity is a recipe for full-on frizz.
  • Instead, squeeze excess water out from the hair – and blot (don’t rub) with a microfibre towel to reduce moisture.
  • Use your fingers to find your natural parting.
  • Tuck your hair behind your ears and fix in place with some dent-free clips - @amazonuk does some good ones. Your ears act like rollers, adding a natural bend in the hair around cheekbone height.
  • Twist the hair into sections, moving away from your face. Then fold each one over on itself from root to tip – and secure in the middle with a band.
  • Add a little heat from your diffuser for a few minutes.
  • Release – et voila – natural movement, minus the frizz!
