3 INSIDER SECRETS TO GREAT SUMMER HAIR

Trust us when we say that no one loves summer more than us. But sometimes, our hair feels differently. All that sun, humidity and (here’s hoping) sea can leave it feeling frizzy, flat, dry, damaged – and frankly, too confused to know what to do with itself. So, we asked our stylists to give their top 3 insider tricks to getting Great Summer Hair.

Before we get started, arm yourself with Almost Everything Cream. Created by professional stylists for you back home, it's a straight-talking, one-size-fits-all solution that tames strays, conditions sun-drenched lengths, defines curls, smooths heatwave frizz, primes your hair for styling, adds beachy texture, boosts shine – and even makes for a brilliant mask.

How to get beachy texture

First, select a light, mist-like SPF oil that will protect your hair from UV damage (we love Kérastase Soleil Huile Sirène). Then amp it up with some styling power by mixing in 1-2 pumps of Almost Everything Cream (like mixing your facial SPF with your foundation). Scrunch this super mixture into lengths and ends when your hair is already dry for natural, beachy separation and texture that's taken no effort at all.

Create a cool wet look

Summer brings out the relaxed side in all of us – and a quick-and-easy wet look is perfect for anything from a casual weekend brunch to a night out. Simply slather on Almost Everything Cream (and we mean use a good 6-7 pumps) when you emerge from the shower, or even a swim. Then use this Everyday Essentials Brush to create a centre parting.

Salt and chlorinated water dries hair out – so the styling cream will not only add essential moisture, but it'll lend your lengths a lovely separated texture, with a sheeny shine – rather than any unwanted stiffness.

Perfect a polished ponytail

When you want a look that’s more pulled together (but never overdone), a simple high pony does the trick every time. First, take Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively and Zendaya as your reference points.

After you've blow dried your hair with one of these brushes, pump a few pumps of Almost Everything Cream into your palm and rub your hands together. Smooth it over strays, bring any frizz to heel; run it down your lengths as you draw your hair back and into a high, tight ponytail. If you want extra body and movement, take large sections of the tail and add a gentle wave with a tong.
