FOOL EVERYBODY WITH FAUX BANGS

If you’re in the mood for a seasonal hair change, the current faux fringe trend is the coolest way to give your look a quick revamp. But no matter how cool it looks, getting a fringe cut for the first time can be a very daunting situation – meaning most of us have been too afraid to get the chop.

That’s where everyone's new favourite hair secret comes in – the faux fringe. This little piece of hair trickery's sudden rise in popularity (largely due to Jen Atkin, celebrity hair stylist) has been documented all over Hollywood Instagram accounts.

"I think a good heavy bang is so cool,' says Jen, who's put winges on the Hadid sisters, Kendall Jenner and most recently, Jenna Dewan Tatum. "There's no shame in the extension game anymore."

With hair extensions looking more realistic than ever, it's no surprise the faux fringe trend is having a massive moment - Not only are they discreet, they're edgy, easy to use, and 100% non-committal.

Jen Atkin tip! "I use clip-ins for the majority of my clients, because they're really easy. Just tease your hair at the roots where you want to place them, spray a little OUAI Medium Hair Spray there and on the clips to help ensure a tight grip, and fasten them down into you hair."

Real or not, fringes are style game-changers. Try it yourself with The Human Hair Clip In Fringe (£40).
