THE LOOK: STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
To showcase her AW18 collection, Molly Goddard stayed true to her signature real-life-party-girl aesthetic, and threw a kitchen party complete with wine and vegetable snacks. Guests had their first glimpse of the season's hair look when Edie Campbell opened the show with her shag hair cut ironed poker straight. Dressed in a extreme crop top & floor-length skirt, the unapologetically sleek do added a toughness to the feminine look. Models with ironed locks and severe side partings demonstrated hair trends current move from loose and cool waves in favour of a more styled finish.
Backstage, Luke Hersheson revealed the inspiration behind the hair. "Think Britney Spears with really bad hair extensions," he said. "You know how those bad extensions look slightly separated? We used Secret Agent Touch Up Crème through the ends to create a piecey look."
Emilia Wickstead
THE LOOK: WET & SWEPT
Emilia Wickstead embraced a new era in wet look hair for her AW18 show. Instead of styled cleanly slicked back, Hershesons stylists kept and enhanced each model's natural hair texture when creating the wet look. The resulting array of waves and curls were then swept over a deep side part, and held in place with hairspray.
Isa Arfen
THE LOOK: KNOTTY TOP KNOT
Hair for Isa Arfen's first ever LFW show was quirky, stacked high and full of texture. Think troll doll but fashion.
To create this look, stylists roughly sectioned the top of hair before splitting the section into two to tie a knot. The rest of the hair was then pushed back underneath the knot and secured with discreet grips. For the untied bottom section of the hair, Hershesons Tourmaline Professional Curling Tong was used to add some loose kinks for even more texture.
